Welcome back Hero Power Players to Eagle Eye Gaming! In today’s video, we will discuss the importance of building Jet and compare Jet with Fafnir, along with other alternative support characters in Hero Wars Mobile. The emergence of Fafnir as a viable alternative has created a debate among players, so let’s dive into the details.
Why Did We Build Jet Before Fafnir’s Release?
Jet was a popular choice in team compositions because of his critical ability, which grants a chance for double physical damage to physical attackers, even if they don’t possess innate critical ability themselves. For example, Kira is a physical attacker without critical ability, but by adding Jet to the team, we could provide Kira with that much-needed critical ability. Additionally, Sebastian could be included to further enhance the critical charge. This setup, known as the Kira, Sebastian, Jet, and another physical attacker (KSJ) team, was widely used across all servers and guilds.
Jet’s ultimate ability targets the highest physical attack ally, providing a buff to their physical attack and healing them for a period of time. Furthermore, Jet’s second and third skills decrease the armor of the closest opponents and prevent them from being healed, respectively. Jet proved to be a valuable asset during that time, as he synergized well with heroes such as Ilmir, Keira, Dark Star, Ginger, Galahad, Tristan, and Sebastian.
The Advantages of Fafnir
Fafnir, on the other hand, possesses abilities similar to Jet, but with some additional advantages. For instance, while Jet provides critical ability to all physical attackers in the team, Fafnir boosts the physical attack of agility heroes with his third skill, making him a valuable asset in teams with agility heroes. While critical ability can be countered by dodge and Helios, physical attack is only countered by dodge. Additionally, Fafnir’s first skill provides a shield and physical attack boost to the entire team, which is more useful than Jet’s healing ability. This shield can save your damage dealer, especially in situations where opponents use ultimate abilities that deal damage from their third skill.
Fafnir’s Superiority
After closely observing both heroes in the global championship and Guild Wars, it is evident that Fafnir is more powerful and useful in many situations compared to Jet. However, it is important to note that individual preferences may vary. For example, if you have heroes like Karkh, Kiera, and Artemis with only one agility hero in the team, Fafnir proves to be more effective due to the multiple target abilities of these heroes. However, in a team composition with Elmir and Dark Star, where there are two or three damage dealers, Jet might be more useful as he provides critical ability to all attackers. Nevertheless, even without Jet, single target damage dealers can still be effective with the support of heroes like Sebastian, Jurgen, Dorian, or Isaac.
Is Building Jet Still Necessary?
Considering all factors, it is safe to say that building Jet is no longer necessary with the introduction of Fafnir. In teams consisting of Kira, Artemis, and Karkh, or in mixed teams with single-target damage dealers, there are other support heroes who perform better than Jet. Instead of spending your valuable resources on Jet Stones, you can invest in valuable items or artifact chest keys. Of course, the meta can always change, and heroes may receive updates in the future, but for now, there isn’t a strong case for building Jet.
